Union butterfield 4587 taper pin reamers have a straight shank with a square drive and have been designed primarily for hand held reaming with a suitable wrench. They are made from premium high speed steel and can be used for reaming a variety of materials including steel, aluminum and stainless steel. The taper of 1/4 inch per foot is for finishing tapered holes to accept standard taper pins and the reduced small diameter makes it easy to locate and centre the reamer in the hole, improving both accuracy and performance. 4587 taper pin hand reamers have a precision ground straight flute geometry for smooth reaming and to improve hole size and surface finish.
